Shortcuts

rule

Brief
The publishers Granta want to develop a new identity for their short story
imprint entitled Shortcuts. They want to package Shortcuts imaginatively
with a strong theme and identity through the use of highly creative design.
Produce three cover designs which will fit within the short story ‘series’
and that relate strongly to the subject matter that you have been given.

Really useful partwork

rule

For the purpose of this brief, the subject matter you are dealing with
is: how the things we use everyday came into being and how we would
ever manage without them. The stories of their origins are as interesting
and illuminating as these objects are truly useful. You have been given
three object names, choose one only and produce a graphic interpretation/
celebration of this truly useful item.
